GOALS & AESTHETICS
Discuss the Clients goals, special requirements, constraints and design aesthetics and how the form and function of the site elements will relate within the space. The designer may introduce some potential design ideas.
During our site walk we will look for design opportunities. We may discuss potential areas of improvement as well as design elements which we feel could greatly add to the space. Design is discussed on a broad level.
Landscape Architect will inform client on the timeline or phases of the design process. From time it takes to prepare a concept design and move on to construction drawings that can be used for City & HOA submittals.
Understanding the client’s vision and goals are important part of the design process. We ask the client to provide us with all the information they have gathered either written or images. This helps us understand how the client envisions the space.
We will explain the Contractor bidding and installation process as well as discuss what to expect from the Contractor, change orders, permits, setbacks, schedule, and our construction observation services. Phil May is a Design/Build office and can also provide a construction estimate to our clients.
