DESIGN CONSULATATION
Task.01
PROJECT SITE WALK
Landscape Architect will walk the site and discuss the details of your project including your goals, design aesthetic, accessibility, site elements, site opportunities and constraints as well as the construction budget. 45-60 minute duration.
Task.02
SITE INVENTORY & ANALYSIS
Process of gathering information begins such as taking notes take a measurements and complete a photographic survey of the site as well as visually locating important elements, microclimates, views, noise pollution, sun direction, grade changes, existing vegetation, and utilities.
Task.03
GOALS & AESTHETICS
Discuss the Clients goals, special requirements, constraints and design aesthetics and how the form and function of the site elements will relate within the space. The designer may introduce some potential design ideas.
Task.04
OPPORTUNITIES
During our site walk we will look for design opportunities. We may discuss potential areas of improvement as well as design elements which we feel could greatly add to the space. Design is discussed on a broad level.
Task.05
TIMELINE
Landscape Architect will inform client on the timeline or phases of the design process. From time it takes to prepare a concept design and move on to construction drawings that can be used for City & HOA submittals.
Task. 06
CLIENT VISION
Understanding the client’s vision and goals are important part of the design process. We ask the client to provide us with all the information they have gathered either written or images. This helps us understand how the client envisions the space.
Task.07
INSTALLATION
We will explain the Contractor bidding and installation process as well as discuss what to expect from the Contractor, change orders, permits, setbacks, schedule, and our construction observation services. Phil May is a Design/Build office and can also provide a construction estimate to our clients.
